AI Policy
Last updated
We use AI tools at Petal & Plan. Here's how, and where the line is.
What AI helps with
| Task | How AI helps | What a person does |
|---|---|---|
| Research | Gathers background, common questions and price examples | Checks claims against price lists, cost surveys and official sources |
| Drafting | Suggests outlines and first drafts | Rewrites, edits and adds the specific numbers and examples |
| Math | Can help lay out budget tables and timelines | Recalculates every total, cost per guest and timeline by hand or spreadsheet |
| Wording | Suggests invitation, vow and speech phrasing | Edits it, checks it reads naturally and covers each family situation |
| Images | Creates concept images and styled scenes, like a seating chart on an easel | Selects, edits and labels them |
| Proofreading | Flags typos and unclear sentences | Makes the final call |
Human review, every time
Every article on Petal & Plan is reviewed and edited by a human editor before it's published. The editor checks the facts, confirms the sources, recalculates the numbers and makes sure the plan is realistic for a couple on a budget. The reviewer's name appears on the article. No article goes straight from an AI tool onto the site.
Images
Our images are AI-generated concepts or styled scenes, such as flat lays of planners, stationery, place cards and centerpieces. They're labeled as AI-generated where relevant. Decor images are concepts and styling ideas, not photos from a real wedding. Template mockups show the real product we're offering. We never use AI to make images that look like a real couple, a real wedding or a real guest. When we share AI-generated images on Pinterest, we follow Pinterest's labeling rules.
Product recommendations
Supplies and services we recommend are chosen from research of public product information, prices and reviews, not hands-on testing unless an article says we've used the product. AI may help collect information, but a person makes every recommendation.
What we won't do
- publish AI-written content without human review
- invent couples, real-wedding stories, quotes, reviews or testimonials
- let AI produce prices, legal rules or numbers that a person hasn't checked
- present AI images as real photos of people or their weddings
